Resumen
La condición de vÃctima responde a una construcción posdictatorial en la que
participan y se confrontan la institucionalidad polÃtica y jurÃdica, las organizaciones
de familiares de vÃctimas y el campo del arte y el pensamiento crÃtico.
Más allá de su definición legal, las vÃctimas se convierten en un punto de ingreso
a una subjetividad polÃtica y cultural que expresa una comprensión de la
democracia y la justicia, y que se relaciona con distintas concepciones sobre lo
humano puestas en debate en el Chile contemporáneo.
El cine documental ha sido un elemento destacado en la construcción y representación
de la memoria desde principios de la década de 1990. Aun cuando
en su mayorÃa ha respondido a un compromiso con la verdad y la justicia, sus
métodos y sus supuestos han sido diversos. La actual conflictividad social y los
cambios en los modos de elaborar el pasado motivan a una reflexión sobre
los mecanismos de la memoria y su relación con la imagen y el montaje.
Abstract
The condition of victim responds to a postdictatorial construction in which the
legal and political institutions, organizations of victimsÂ’ families and the field
of art and critical thinking participate and confront. Beyond its legal definition,
the victims become an entry point to a political and cultural subjectivity that expresses
an understanding of democracy and justice, and that relates to different
conceptions of the human in the debate in contemporary Chile.
The documentary film has been an important element in the construction and
representation of the memory from the early 1990. Even though most of them
have responded to a commitment to truth and justice, its methods and assumptions
have been different. The current social dispute and the changes in modes
of memory, encourage a reflection about the mechanisms related to the image
and the montage.
